Costs and Accommodations for ArTravel Art Classes in Europe
Art Workshop in Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor or Pastel Painting
ArTravel is a program of an instructional art workshops in Europe. They are in an art workshop format including studio instruction, independent studio time and on-site alla fresco painting in your choice of oil, acrylic, pastel or watercolor. Program fee includes instructional workshop, use of studios, transportation to landscape painting areas and double occupancy accommodations. Two optional supplemental trips to local points of interest with local tour guides are available at no additional fee.
Our hotel includes air-conditioned rooms, with mini-bar, personal telephone, cable television and free wi-fi. Breakfast and one lunch or dinner daily is included. Special dietary requests may not be available. The photos on this page show our hotel in Mazan the former family chateau of the Marquis de Sade.
The program cost is $7,350 per artist in a double occupancy room. Single room occupancy for 1 artist is $8,950. All efforts will be made to find a roommate, but if one is not available, the single room fee must apply. Personal items, one-meal daily, beverages, outside dinner parties, airfare, ground transportation and optional excursions are not included in the program fee. Participants bring a friend or spouse as a roommate. If you wish to bring a non-participant spouse or friend, the double room is $8,950 with a non-artist fee of $1,200 ($140 per night). Non-studio participants may partake in all program activities except studio work.
Students are advised to purchase travel cancellation insurance.
A specific instructor or class in this workshop is subject to cancellation should registration be insufficient to cover expenses. In this case the deposit and fees will be refunded in full or student may choose to register for another class. Fee adjustments may be made for fluctuations in currency exchange. Participants may sign up for only one of the offered courses. All students must complete an application and provide all materials requested, including a personal interview (telephone interviews will be accepted for those living outside the Los Angeles region). Acceptance into the program will be determined by the student's proficiency and knowledge of art, motivation to learn and demonstrated ability to work and interact in a collegial manner with others.
