In our scouting of the Veneto we found another great painting site for our group.

The Castel Brando, one of Europe’s largest and oldest historic castles overlooking an ancient hamlet of Cison di Valmarino. The castle is an hour from the Venice International Airport and two hours from Milan.

Originally built in the First Century under the Emperor Claudius and expanded throughout the centuries, the castle is now privately owned and completely renovated as a four star hotel. The hotel boasts all the amenities including a spa, three restaurants, air-conditioning, Internet access, and satellite TV. 

And best of all, our painting studio is the ancient church located in the garden of the property. There will be plenty of room for each artist to work indoors or out. The castle has great views everywhere you walk. The spectacular architecture, the gardens, and fountains, the mountain with its wooded path, and a lovely hamlet below are all very paintable.
